The effect of empathy to bystander's role towards bullying at school through moral disengagement as a mediator

چکیده

This study aims to illustrate the effect of empathy on role bystander towards bullying at school through moral disengagement as mediator. Moral affects bystanders' role. In this case, an outsider or ignorant indicates higher than a defender defensive bystander. The subject were 245 high students in age 15-17 years. respondents acted bystanders adapted from Participant Role Questionnaire (PRQ) scale. researcher adopted Basic Empathy Scale dan Disengagement measuring instrument. data analysis employed simple mediation technique with bootstrapping method. results indicated that first, there was positive and significant mediated by disengagement. Second, negative reinforcer bystander's schools Third, also no roles assistant, outsider, aggressive One implications for future interventions schools, instance, training emphasizing effective way act school.
